Pented Learning — Ui/Ux Case study

Introduction

Pented is an online learning platform for 6th to 10th standard kids from Gujarat, India, offering interactive lessons in math, science, language arts, and more. It uses gamification to engage and motivate kids, making learning enjoyable.

The Process

The Scope

To provide underprivileged children in Gujarat with the resources and support they need to succeed in their education, despite the many challenges they face. We aim to create an innovative and engaging online learning platform that addresses the unique needs of these children and helps them overcome the barriers to their success.

The Problems

Government schools in Gujarat often lack the resources and trained teachers necessary to provide a high-quality education.

Limited access to educational resources, Children may not have access to books, educational materials, and other resources.

Lack of educational support, engagement, and motivation for underprivileged children in Gujarat.

Competitor Analysis

I looked upon multiple competitors and compared them on various features and integrations.

I evaluated the competitors on pros and cons and applied the learnings for my PENTED Learning app

It also helped me to visualize the overall product in accordance with the user flow

User Interviews

  • Understanding the user’s needs and pain points.
  • Evaluating current usage patterns and behaviors.
  • Gathering feedback and suggestions.
  • Gathering demographic information.
  • Evaluating the user’s overall learning goals.

User Persona

To create a clear and comprehensive understanding of the user’s demographics, behaviors, goals, needs, and motivations.

Empathy Map

To identify and analyze the user’s emotions, behaviors, motivations, and pain points.

I made the user stories and flows which can satisfy the various scenarios how the product will be used.

Designing Interface

Based on various feedbacks form users and mentor, I continually iterated my design over the span of 3 weeks.

Addressing the problem 1

Government schools in Gujarat often lack the resources and trained teachers necessary to provide a high-quality education.

Solution

Trained teachers and learning resources, such as videos, quizzes, and interactive activities, to supplement the curriculum and make it more interesting. Additionally, the solution could involve providing doubt solving assistance to students, to help them understand the material and retain the information being taught.

Limited access to educational resources, Children may not have access to books, educational materials, and other resources.

Solution

Digital access to educational materials, books, and resources through an online platform. This will ensure that children have access to the necessary resources to supplement their learning and help them understand and retain the information being taught.

Addressing the problem 3

Lack of educational support, engagement, and motivation for underprivileged children in Gujarat.

Solution

Interactive learning experiences and activities that make learning more engaging. This could include gamified concepts, such as rewards systems, leaderboards, to help increase student motivation and engagement.
